There’s so much to love about this custom double vanity, and plenty of elements you can draw inspiration from individually. At first glance, the heavy-veined quartz countertops, mounted brass fixtures, and thick edge profile set a decidedly modern tone. Opting for a second sink always dials up the luxury, and in doing so, we made up for lost counter space by building in a ledge.
You might notice that the oak tone of the vanity echoes the ceiling stain from the accompanying primary bedroom — an intentional detail that adds subtle continuity between the spaces.
“If you have a primary suite that you’re designing, it’s really nice to have a few elements that tie back to one another, and the stain detail did just that.”

An extra-large mirror not only provides a more grandiose look, but it also bounces light around to further brighten up the vanity station.
Limestone floors and glazed terracotta tile are timeless materials fit for a variety of settings. When shopping finishes for a bathroom, choose something classic to keep these semi-permanent features from dating too quickly.
Even with a small shower footprint, you can tap into little spa-inspired luxuries. We maximized space and surface area by creating handy shower niches, and even fit a slim bench using the countertop quartz material.
