Dec. 17-23, 26-31; Jan. 1, 2023: Lightscape, a new holiday event at the San Diego Botanic Garden, will illuminate evenings with more than 1 million holiday lights displayed as tunnels, a fire garden, sculptures and artistic installations throughout the garden. The average tour time along the 1-mile trail is 1.5 hours, but there is no time limit. Tickets: start at $27 for adults, $18 for children ages 3-12, and free for younger than 2. Discounts available for SDBG members as well as active and combat-disabled military with ID; $10 parking in advance, $20 day of visit. Dec. 17-18: Tillandsias and other bromeliads will be featured at the San Diego Bromeliad Society’s Holiday Plant Sale. Dec. 18-23: Take a virtual tour of four North County homes decorated by area designers as a fundraiser for Vista Community Clinic’s Senior Healthcare Services. Jan. 7-8, 2023: Tagged as featuring everything for, in and around your home, the San Diego Spring Home Show brings together professionals in several industries to answer questions on home projects big and small. Jan. 14, 2023: Ready for some pointers on pruning roses in January for their next blooming cycle? The San Diego Rose Society holds its annual, popular event where consulting rosarians will demonstrate proper pruning on several types of flowers including hybrid teas, floribundas and climbers.
