Lucas Lagoons Recognized at The Florida Swimming Pool Association’s 2022 Design Awards

Local custom pool company Lucas Lagoons earned the most awards at The Florida Swimming Pool Association’s (FSPA) 2021 annual Design Awards Competition. We’re not surprised. We’ve written about the company’s standout work before, like the split level, infinity pool and spa they designed for famed golf instructor David Leadbetter.  Lucas Lagoons even had a TV show about their fabulous pool creations on Animal Planet, and one of their over-the-top pools landed on HGTV’s Amazing Water Homes.

The FSPA—a trade association for the pool and spa industry in Florida with approximately 750 member businesses in 16 chapters across the state—recognized nine companies that received more than 30 awards of excellence in the annual Design Awards Competition. They were announced during the 50th anniversary of the “Everything Under the Sun Expo” in Orlando earlier this month.

Lucas Lagoons won Best in Show for its multilevel pool paradise, plus nine additional awards for technical achievement and a vanishing edge pool. The competing spas and water features were judged on workmanship, soundness of design, beauty, practicality and safety. Categories divided the entries by size, type of construction and features.

Winners were selected by the Design Awards Committee, a volunteer group of pool and spa industry professionals.

Another local standout recognized by the FSPA was Jonathan Mosher of Signet Pool in Sarasota, who was awarded Young Professional of the Year for spearheading several marketing and rebranding priorities for the organization.
